Shore-Seal Boom

Topic Materials

Shore-seal boom is deployed to protect beaches and low tidal land areas. The boom is also used during shoreline flushing operations to contain flushed oil for skimming. Water-filled chambers ‘seal’ the boom to the shoreline and air-inflated chambers provide buoyancy. The boom is connected to conventional style boom in deeper water to provide continuous protection in tidal zones.
